This vintage represents the 20th anniversary of this wine (the first vintage produced was 1992) although this special single-vineyard has been in family hands since 1435 (you read that correctly)

(this has some young vines 1ers added to a blend of 90% Basses Maizières and 10% Les Vigneux)

There is no reason to age this any longer

Marquis d'Angerville, Volnay Size:6x750ml Sweet red cherry(exclusively from Les Grands Champs as Les Pluchots was recently replanted). A more elegant nose speaks of cool and refined aromas of plum, dark currant and lovely spice wisps. There is better density to the more powerful and serious medium weight flavors where the slightly warm finish is notably firmer. At least some patience advised.
