Chinese Qing Dynasty Small Lacquered Cabinet From The Shanxi Province Baskets & Storage It is made from cedarCirca 1840's Chinese Qing Dynasty cabinet from the Shanxi province. This cabinet exudes history! When we acquired the cabinet it was covered in a black lacquer which was damaged and clearly not original. So we peeled it back and found the original; a bright, deep and eye catching red, full of character. The sides have been left black, which would have been traditional and the inside has been untouched. It is in good condition but due to its age there
