Strong reduction hides the nose but its clear that the fruit underlying the funk is exceptionally ripe and this ripeness also characterizes the rich, supple and forward flavors that are much more refined and I like the mouth feel as there are refined tannins and plenty of the classic minerality on the persistent finish.
