Made to Order Liberté Peony Dinnerware handmade blue mug and must have a flaredA dinnerware set inspired by the fluffy warm breath of Spring. This project was conceived to capture that fleeting first bouquet of the peony flower. I spent a week throwing porcelain plates, and carving each piece to emulate the pillowy layers of paper thin petals, surrounded by their unearthly scent. Process: The initial set was cast in plaster, creating a mold from which successive pieces can be made. The porcelain clay is now pressed into the mold
