The track was released on July 4, 2000 and was certified Gold by the RIAA the next month on August 8 for 500,000 copies sold. It was the group's only single to reach #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and it also went to #1 in Canada. Released off the album Mad Season, it helped drive the album to 4x Multi Platinum status.
