Riesling RS98 2021, Mac Forbes Gin organically farmed Trousseau from JuraWe love the wines of Mac Forbes, a superstar new wave Australian winemaker in Victoria who prioritises freshness and acid over jammy fruit flavours in his wines. He's a bit of a Riesling master, as it happens, and this is glorious. RS here refers to residual sugar and with 98 grams there's a fair whack, making it closest to a Kabinett style, but it's balanced by the searing fresh lime, lemon and mandarin citrus and slatey mineral tones.
